This March 14th for CivicTechYYC we are hosting Button. They will be discussing about how bringing different data sets from a variety of locations can come together, and create meaningful tools that improve collaboration and resilience.
About Button:
“We help government and industry create better digital services for citizens through empathetic design. At our small consultancy in BC, everything we do is driven by curiosity, transparency, and impact on citizens.
We are in the process of developing ClimateTrax, a GHG emission inventory tool that aims to improve how governments and industry collaborate towards their emissions reductions goals for 2030 and beyond. We are excited to share about the three areas of data emissions focus that ClimateTrax will address for governments, including buildings data, transportation attribution, and solid waste.”
Michael Veniez is a Service Designer with a passion for facilitating the engagement of diverse groups of stakeholders through co-design. He is an advocate for accessible and inclusive services and uses his knowledge of design thinking to solve problems. Michael believes that designing through empathy is essential for achieving meaningful change.
Zoey Li is a multi-disciplinary designer who dabbles in strategy, research, and design to help organizations bring their ideas to life. Most recently, she has worked with the BC Government to deliver a funding program to connect more homes to internet. Outside of work, she volunteers her user research knowledge to impactful organizations like IncluCity, to ensure diverse voices are heard when organizations create new services.
We hope to see you there!
